Prepare to perform rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) apparatus:
- Identify and confirm the need for rescue operations.
- Ensure the availability and functionality of rescue equipment.

Carry out rescue from live LV panel:

Real Response’s PUAFER006 – Lead an Emergency Control Organisation course prepares participants to take command during workplace emergencies, ensuring a structured and effective response. Designed for Chief Wardens and Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) leaders, this course provides the skills to assess risks, coordinate evacuations, and communicate with emergency services. Participants will engage in simulation-enhanced training, including a simulated evacuation exercise, to build confidence in real-world emergency scenarios.

In this course, you’ll learn to:

Understand emergency control structures and leadership responsibilities:
- Identify emergency types, workplace risks, and response protocols.
- Understand the role of Chief Wardens in coordinating emergency response efforts.
Assess and take command in emergency situations:
- Evaluate incidents and implement emergency control procedures.
- Ensure the safety of all occupants and allocate emergency warden roles.
Coordinate and oversee site-wide evacuations:
- Lead the evacuation process, ensuring orderly movement to designated assembly areas.
- Manage communication systems, emergency alarms, and warden instructions.
Communicate with emergency services and stakeholders:
- Liaise effectively with emergency services, workplace teams, and first responders.
- Provide clear, timely, and accurate updates to ensure a coordinated response.
Review and improve emergency response procedures:

Real Response’s PUAFER008 – Confine Small Emergencies in a Facility course equips participants with the skills and confidence to identify, assess, and control small workplace emergencies before they escalate. This training goes beyond fire response, covering a range of small-scale emergencies, including chemical spills, electrical faults, and gas leaks. Participants will engage in simulation-enhanced training, ensuring they can respond quickly and effectively under pressure.

In this course, you’ll learn to:

Identify and assess small emergencies:
- Recognise different types of small workplace emergencies, including fires, hazardous spills, and electrical incidents.
- Assess the risks and determine the appropriate course of action while ensuring personal safety.
Confine and control emergencies using available equipment:
- Select and operate fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels, and spill containment tools correctly.
- Follow workplace emergency procedures to ensure incidents are contained safely and effectively.
Follow workplace emergency protocols:
- Communicate emergency details to relevant personnel and escalate response if required.
- Implement control measures in line with organisational and Work Health & Safety (WHS) procedures.
Monitor and review emergency responses:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the response and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in post-incident debriefings and recognise potential psychological impacts.
